Join us for an clarifying and insightful journey into the world of author George Orwell.

Orwell & Truth: The Legacy of Author George Orwell is a major biographical exhibition at NYU’s Kimmel Windows featuring rare archival materials from University College London’s George Orwell Archive.

The free exhibit opens on March 4th, 2026 and the opening reception will feature reminiscences from Orwell’s son, Richard Blair, who was raised in a farmhouse on a remote Scottish island, where his father battled Tuberculosis while finishing his masterpiece, Nineteen Eighty-Four, as well as keynote remarks from The Orwell Foundation and the provosts of NYU and UCL.

The exhibition runs through December 1, 2026 and is free and visible 24/7 at NYU Kimmel Windows, corner of LaGuardia Place and West 3rd Street, Greenwich Village.

The George Orwell Archive at UCL is the world’s most comprehensive body of research material relating to the author.
