The Orwell Foundation is the official charity promoting the work and values of George Orwell (1903-1950). We are immensely grateful to our Founding Patron and longstanding benefactor Richard Blair, George Orwell’s adopted son.
To support our goals and extend our work, we are building a community of supporters in the UK and internationally. By becoming a Patron, donors who wish to make a significant annual contribution can help to ensure that the future of our essential work, and therefore the legacy of George Orwell, lives on.
Please take a look at our membership options to find out which level of annual donation is right for you. If you have any questions about becoming a patron, please get in touch with our Director Liz Wallace.
Support our work in the United States
While we expand our activities in the United States, we have established a number of ways in which donors can support our work.
United States taxpayers can give tax-efficiently, through our partnership with Myriad USA, a Section 501(c)(3) public charity – you can find more information on our page here. US donors also give to us through funds such as the SVCF.
To discuss supporting the Foundation with a philanthropic gift, or becoming a Patron based in the US, please contact our Director, Liz Wallace, at liz.wallace@orwellfoundation.com.
