Policies

The Orwell Foundation has a number of policies in place which set out the steps we are taking to promote diversity and equality, to protect the personal data of those we work with, and to respond to complaints fairly and effectively.

Equality and diversity

It is the intention of The Orwell Foundation to treat all people equally and with respect. The Foundation’s equality and diversity policy has been created to ensure that in pursuing its charitable objectives, the Foundation takes all reasonable measures to eliminate discrimination and to promote diversity and equality.

As an equal opportunities employer, the Foundation commits to promote and protect everyone’s right to equal opportunities in the workplace as laid down in the Equality Act 2010.

Privacy and data protection

The Orwell Foundation is committed to good practice in the handling of personal data and careful compliance with the GDPR. For more information about the lawful bases under which we process data, and your rights and entitlements in relation to any data we may hold, please read our data protection policy.

Complaints

The Orwell Foundation views complaints as an opportunity to learn and improve for the future, as well as a chance to put things right for the person or organisation that has made the complaint. For more information, please read our complaints policy.
