Enter the Prize

The Orwell Youth Prize 2024 is now open for entries on the theme of HOME. Please use the online form below to enter.

You’ll need to make sure you have a PDF copy of your entry ready to hand, and make sure your name doesn’t appear anywhere on the document or in the file name. Your entry must be no more than 1000 words if you’re in Year 7-11 and no more than 1500 words if you’re in Year 12-13.

You will also need an email address and phone number for a safeguarding contact. If you will be aged 12 or under on our closing date of 6th May 2024, you will need a parent/guardian to sign their consent for you to enter the Prize – make sure you have someone ready to help with this!

We’ll also ask you for some information about you, your school and how you found out about the prize. These details help us administrate the prize and ensure that we are reaching as many young people as possible.

If you have any questions about your entry, please contact admin@orwellyouthprize.co.uk
